WOOHOO!
I'm going to see Brian Wilson at the Paramount at the end of the month! These are his last few shows playing "Pet Sounds" in its entirety and Al Jardine of The Beach Boys will be there too. I am SOOO excited. This ALMOST makes up for not being able to see Morrissey at his L.A. shows.

I know this probably doesn't compare in the auteur's eye that you have, but I got to see Dick Dale play once and that was cool.

Good job, Popstar. I loved hearing the live version of Pet Sounds. Every single note, word, and pause was beautiful and essential. Also, Al Jardine sounds incredibly good, even if he doesn't have much solo singing. It was a fantastic show, and I loved every second of it.

oh yeah, i had forgotten that ag TOTALLY hates brian wilson and the beach boys! what a cruel fate: you hate them and saw smile SHOWS (plural), and i love 'em and couldn't afford to see 'em. "pet sounds" is 99.9% perfection and the only way i'll be napping is if i pass out from sheer bliss when the opening of "let's go away for awhile" slinks from the stage.
